The banana slicer is a machine that would be able to mechanize the slicing of raw banana. Most of the chips production units are slicing the raw banana manually. Expert labour is needed to make thin and equal slices of raw banana which have a sticky sap. They are sliced directly into boiling oil so slices will not stick to each other. So it is very tedious work to slice raw banana manually beside hot boiling oil. The invented Banana Slicer machine is capable of slicing 1kg of raw banana in 5 minutes. Two bananas could be fed into the machine at a time. We can adjust the thickness of slices and every slice will be equally thick. A rotating circular blade will slice the banana which inserts through the slots. Even the last edge of the banana can be sliced. Manually we can't slice up to the end of a banana. Slicing is five times faster than manual slicing. The machine could reduce drudgery and resolves labour difficulties in the banana food processing industry. So in short this machine saves time, labour and fuel for the chips industry. Banana Slicer Innovated by the applicant is a patented product (Patent No. 290073) which can be used to slice the raw banana. Hundreds of enquires are corning for the machine after it's news about patent appeared in local magazines and newspapers. So per year, our target is to sell at least a hundred units. Its demonstration has been done in many public events. With the help of the Banana slicer machine, the food processing units will be capable of making high-quality banana chips. The food production capacity of the food processing units can be increased by the application of banana slicer into the industry.
