Chika has been derived from the word Chikmagalur, the homeland of Indian Coffee. 70% of Indian Coffee is grown here. The Aim of Chika, a coffee collective is to represent Indian Coffee and promote Indian Geographical Indication (GI) Tagged Coffee to Global Audience via an app, specifically designed to bring all the Indian Stakeholders of the coffee sector by bridging • Farmer planters • Processors Curers • Coffee Roasters, Cafés • Traders & Exporters • Retailers & Consumers • Industry bodies (SCA, Coffee Board of India, ICRI) Our project has been selected for incubation at AIC CCRI CED. We are also setting up specialty coffee outlets globally, specifically targeting GI Coffees of India, to promote Indian coffee. The startup is an Innovation in the new process of a framework, easy to use by all stakeholders of the coffee community. Our Present Certification Programs Completed: • Kappi Shastra Program Certificate • Café Concept Program Certificate & Specialty Coffee Basics • Varthaarambha Program Certificate (Pre-incubation Training) • Food Safety Management in Cafes (Coffee Board)
