INNOVATION- Fly ash bricks is an innovative product in the field of construction because it does not pollute our environment like clay bricks do. It is a product manufactured by use of waste product like fly ash, crusher dust etc. Unlikely clay bricks, which use valuable top soil as raw material, Fal-G method uses flyash and unwanted residue from coal-fired power plant. The climate friendly flyash bricks technology produces bricks without using coal. IMPROVEMENT- Fal-G bricks reduces dead load on structure due to light weight(2.8kg). This method is high fire insulation. Due to high strength, practically no breakage during transport and use. Due to uniform size of bricks mortar required for joints and plaster reduces almost by 50%. Due to lower water penetration seepage of water through bricks is considerably reduced. Its an improved version of bricks over clay bricks. SCALABILITY- The demand of Fal-G is growing by leaps and bound day by day due to its cheaper price and good quality of shape, size and finish compared to clay bricks. Another important aspect is that traditional coal-fired bricks kilns do not provide stable source of income for workers. The kilns close during monsoon forcing the workers to move away to look for other work whereas Fal-G bricks operate through out the year, providing year round employment. Fly ash bricks network, demand, and availability is growing day by day providing a stable economy. Thus fly ash bricks industry is a much better option of bricks over clay bricks.
