In India, 30.69 million (approx) population living with various forms of disabilities. According to the survey conducted by Government of India, 20% of the disabled persons are suffering from Physical Impairment, 19% with visual impairment , 19 % with hearing impairment and 8% has multiple disabilities. Majority of the population with impairment are unable to afford the expensive aids and appliances which is currently imported in India at higher price. Moreover, the need of aids and appliances vary from person to person depending on the severity of the disorder. Currently the market of aids and appliances are dominated by the imported goods with lack of custom made aids and appliances which further compromise the overall need of People with disability. In order to make aids and appliances accessible and affordable to large economically weaker section of the society, Limbz Technologies were formed. Limbz Technologies aims to achieve this goal through comprehensive healthcare, education, livelihood and social services especially meant for people living below poverty line, children, women and older people.
