Design and development of Graphene enabled Lithium Titinate Based High performance long life Lithium ion Batteries for EVs & ESS Design and Development of Low cost , high performance and fast charging Graphene/Lithium titanate lithium ion batteries - Nirmal Sai Energy Innovation (NSEI) a registered partnership firm is committed to provide low cost high efficiency lithium ion battery for ESS and EVs to support the “Govt Make in India” program. NSEI has project to set up 5 GW lithium ion cell manufacturing line comprising of 3 GW cylindrical, 2 GW pouch type and 1 GW prismatic cell. The NSEI will provide a holistic solution for EVs with a cell having long life of more than 20000 cycles with a safe chemistry, for this development of Graphene enabled lithium titinate (G/LTO) cell with Lithium nickel manganese cobalt has been projected. NSEI consist of a team of expert who are actively involved in transformation of lithium ion battery technology to make it cheap, much safer, and off course long life as per the Indian conditions. To fill the vision of NSEI, in first phase we have proposed to setup a R&D lab to develop a prototype of fast charging G/LTO- NMC cells and will be assembled to make a 30 kWh system to drive a car 500 Km at a speed of 120 Km/h. The novelty of our project lies in exploitation of graphene properties in LTO chemistry. This will be first of its kind in world where Graphene from waste plastic will deliver high performance lithium titinate cell with more than 20000 life cycle with a project energy density of more than 90 wh/Kg. Parallel to this Graphene NMC/ Graphite cell will be developed with an energy density of more than 250 wh/Kg with more than 3000 life cycles.
