Rapid and accurate identification of infectious diseases is essential to optimize clinical care and guide infection control and public health interventions to limit disease spread both in highly specialized medical centers and remote health care settlements. An ideal diagnostic test should be inexpensive, accurate, and provide a result rapidly, allowing for point-of-care use on multiple specimen types without need for technical expertise, ancillary equipment, or power. Like an Inexpensive, miniature paper test that was used precisely for detect diseases from DNA samples and allows the results to be seen with the naked eye, just like pregnancy tests. Recent emerging discovery show that prokaryotes (bacteria and archaea) have heritable adaptive immunity mediated through CRISPR and CRISPR-associated (Cas) proteins that has led to transformative advances in molecular biology, most notably in gene editing, now using this advance CRISPER system and genetic modified Cas proteins, which will give us even more diagnostic information when put us closer to a tool that can be deployed in real-world applications. Such as combining technique of later flow assay and CRISPER for detection of various virus such as Nipah, avian influenza A and hepatitis E virus in patient. The main aim of this proposal is to create a lateral flow strip equipped with CRISPER technique and create an inexpensive strips, which will soon gone revolutionizing the field of molecular diagnostics for infectious diseases.
