VaidyaRx is a digital health platform to streamline the follow-up care of patients for their medication, side effects and compliance to prescriptions after they are discharged from hospital. Or doctor's office. In India, although we have great doctors and there is adequate care in the Hospitals, once a patient is discharged, there is no system that takes care of their prescription compliance, side effects education and any follow-up at home. This contributes to 60% of patient re-hospitalization due to adverse reactions, improper use of medications, and poor adherence to prescription. Through this product we are solving these 2 major problems through our 2 flagship products: KYP (Know Your prescription) and Second Opinions (validating initial diagnosis through a Medical second opinion). It is a user-friendly web and mobile App for effective tele-pharmacy and second opinions of their diagnosis. This provides seamless access of the patients to local pharmacists and physicians based on geography, language preference (in India there are more than 20 languages) and immediate availability so patients can instantly access help at the moment when they need it the most even at the remotest rural communities. Patients quickly scan their prescription and the pharmacists provide details on appropriate usage, potential side effects to look for and educate the patients so it improves patient safety, awareness, compliance adherence and also reduces medication/diagnosis errors. VaidyaRx app also allows digitization and safe recording of the messy handwritten prescriptions that are rampant in Indian clinics. Our integrated service solves the inefficiencies in patient-physician-pharmacy engagement loops and brings values to all three stake holders: i. Physicians enhance their healthcare delivery and save time. ii. Patients feel empowered, educated about their prescriptions and improved health outcome, iii. local pharmacy retail stores see increased customer footprint through deeper engagement with patients. Based on our knowledge, this is the first of its kind unique platform that solves prescription Adherence and compliance issues by streamlining the patient-physician-pharmacy loop, which is an extremely critical component that directly impacts the healthcare outcome in India. Our long-term vision is to leverage artificial intelligence tools once we have large datasets to even gain further actionable insights, decipher multi-drug side effects, predictions and Prognosis of various chronic diseases that is rampant in India.
