Reducing the postharvest loss of crop. 2. Boost the rural economy by developing the rural market for benefits of farmer, artisan, small and cottage industries owners . 3. Generating employment in Rural area. 4. Providing financial assistance to farmers through contract farming. 5. Reducing the cost of cultivation and production through rental services of agri & other machineries. 6. Providing the livelihood to the poorest people in rural area. Present scenario and problem faced by farmers, artisans, small and cottage industries owners in Rural areas. According to November 2017 report of Niti Aayog, 68.8 per cent of country‟s population and 72.4 per cent of workforce resided in rural areas as per 2011 Census. The Agricultural production contributes only about 17% to the total GDP. The rural areas engaged 70.9 per cent of the total workforce and produced 46.9 per cent of the total net domestic product (NDP) in 2011-12. Out of this 46.9 % of NDP, share of agriculture is 39.2% providing employment to 64.1 %, share of Service sector is 27% providing employment to only 15.5 % and share of manufacturing sector is only 18.4 % providing employment to only 8.6% people. Population projections indicate that India will continue to be predominantly rural till the year 2050. It is often felt that unplanned rural to urban migration, particularly in search of better economic opportunities, is putting severe pressure on urban amenities and forcing a large number of low wage migrants from rural areas to live in unhygienic and deprived conditions. After corona epidemic job opportunity in urban area will shrink and extra burden in rural agriculture sector will increase. Our present rural economy is not in a situation to handle such excessive burden and provide employment to every person even in crop seasons due to various reasons and problems being faced by it. Present problem of rural areas: - 1. High percentage (around 30% ) of post harvest loss of crop. 2. Unorganized market structure of rural area. 3. Poor storage and transportation facility. 4. Inadequate financial and market support to farmers. 5. High cost of modern agri equipments and production machinery. 6. Low reach of service sector. 7. Higher number of middleman. 8. Under utilization of workforce. How our company aims to solve or reduce these problems 1. Problem Number 1- High percentage (around 30% ) of post harvest loss of crop. The main reasons of post harvest loss are 1. Unavailability of market, 2. Low selling price and 3. Lack of transportation and storage facility. Our 68.8% population is residing in rural area especially in villages so we have already a vast market in hand but this market in not organized properly. If we organize this rural market through technology most of the produce will be consumed by the people residing within radius of 10km only. To organize this market we have following problems 1. No technological support for exchange of information – the availability of fruits, vegetables, pulses, grains and other products are not available for sale in continues basis as the production is not continues or the crop are seasonal basis only. Even in seasonal basis harvesting not done on every day basis. Therefore other peoples residing even within 2-3km radius don’t know who has harvested, what crop has harvested, in what quantity, whether the same is immediately available for sale or not and if available in what price. In the same way farmer also don’t know who is willing to buy, in what quantity and in what price. He also don’t know where is prospective buyer resides. Same thing also applies for artisans, small and producers of cottage industries. So they prefer to sell or buy from faraway market situated in block or district level. 2. Lack of infrastructure to coordinate between seller and buyer in rural area – because of this people find it difficult to meet at some point and complete their selling and buying process. So they avoid selling a third person whom they don’t know. Time of transaction is also important as the meeting time of seller and buyer may differ. Spending a long hours to wait will affect man days working. If the transaction is not completed in one day it is difficult for them to come again and farmer/producer will incurred a loss on transportation and storage when it back to his home. 3. No transportation facility for selling or purchasing from nearby areas – if a farmer/producer find a buyer within 5km or away it’s very difficult for them to complete their transaction as no transportation facility is available. If they themselves transport it will increase the cost and loss of their valuable working time.
