1PYQ is an Edtech platform by 1EQ Edutech Private limited, providing a complete learning journey for students, differentiated by its focus on ‘out-of-class learning’, that is; private test preparation, a compilation of individualized resources and study plans, and peer-to-peer learning. The platform's USP is its highly customizable user experience – complete with fully customizable questions, content and remedial resources by leveraging generative AI and the huge community of edtech platforms and content creators. It addresses the problem of content overload and lack of guidance in exam preparation by offering customized tests, dynamic guidance, and content matching. The innovation lies in its content generation process, community-building strategy, data-driven approach, and ethos of prioritizing accessibility and affordability. Our business is based on improving the entire learning experience exam takers face both vertically and horizontally – vertically, by enhancing both direct/formal (i.e teaching, content) and indirect/informal learning (i.e. p2p learning, inter-student discussion groups) for each individual student, and horizontally, by greatly expanding the type of student who can use our platform through leveraging modern Indian payment rails to enable learning microtransactions and AI to continuously generate high-quality content in multiple languages and formats. Like other education technology startups, and edtech in general, the goal is to improve the learning experience; however, until now the focus has primarily been on enhancing and increasing the availability of direct learning – i.e. teaching or providing content to learn. We broaden this idea by attempting to enhance the learning experience, specifically the often subjective and unmeasured interactions between different students through peer-to-peer learning and informal information sharing.
