- Farmers don’t sell their commodity directly to commodity processors. Reason is insecurity regarding payments, logistical limitations(travelling 100+ km) and insecurity regarding better price realization. - Thus, farmers sell their commodity through a long chain of intermediaries and middlemen that significantly reduces their profits. - We believe new models of trading agri-commodities are required to address the challenges of modern agriculture. - We are a platform that handles tech, logistics, quality assessment and payment protection and thus aims to help both farmers and commodity processors connect and conduct a trade through a more efficient process. - We aim to be the only intermediary that both farmers and processors need to interact with. - With economics of scale and tech, we are able to provide farmers the best price for their commodity by reducing logistical burden, quality assessment errors, and other inefficiencies. - In the long term our aim is to transform the farmer into a trader by giving him warehousing and financing solutions bundled with a marketplace to sell his produce. For farmer, the experience of trading his commodity would be same as trading stocks on Zerodha.
