Arms2Farms is a Food Processing Startup by an Army Veteran. We believe that Food Processing is the key to doubling the Farmer's income, for which, the necessary agri produce processing technology must reach his door steps, in a simplified, practical, participatory, non predatory, distributed and networked manner. For this to happen, we have developed and test launched more than a dozen food products from a single processing unit established at Mohali (Punjab) in a span of a year. Online platforms (Amazon, Own Website) as well as offline mode (exhibitions, select retailers) have been used to create a brand awareness as well as obtain realtime feedback for further product improvement. For best quality formulations, we have tied up with leading knowledge hubs in Tricity Chandigarh. Besides the conventional products, we are also foraying into high science intervention in food products by having a tie up with most reputed research institutions of Govt of India like the Centre for Innovative Agro Bioprocessing (CIAB) co located in the same city. We have also received two unique grants for Govt Projects alongwith CIAB and are committed to give the world some unique food tech products. In our local model, our roadmap includes handing over our product technology, in a franchisee or JV mode, to a voluntary network of Ex Servicemen, who wish to be self employed food entrepreneurs dealing with Food Processing, stocking and or trading and selling. Thus we are a startup which deals with food processing and sharing these technologies with other enthusiastic Ex Servicemen to initiate their own startups within our network.
