AddiSim Technologies Private Limited is an India-based deep-tech software startup building indigenous simulation IP for Directed Energy Deposition (DED) and Wire-Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) — advanced metal additive manufacturing processes adopted across India's aerospace, defence, energy, and heavy engineering sectors. India's DED/WAAM ecosystem currently depends entirely on foreign simulation tools priced at ₹15–30 Lakh per seat per year, with no India-based equivalent. The cost of a single failed DED part in strategic materials such as Ti-6Al-4V, Inconel 718, or SS316L can range from lakhs to crores, yet first-time-right printability remains uncertain because part-scale distortion, dwell time, and clamping effects are not predicted before printing. AddiSim's product is a simulation-driven distortion and fixturing assistant for DED/WAAM workflows. It takes CAD files, material data, process parameters, clamping conditions, and G-code as inputs, runs thermo-mechanical simulations, predicts distortion and thermal build-up, and exports distortion-compensated STL files — shifting process tuning from expensive physical trials to faster virtual trials. The core technology comprises a thermo-mechanical simulation engine built from the founder's 5 peer-reviewed publications, a novel G-code interpreter (patent‑provisional filed), a validated material suite for strategic alloys, and a customer application with three modes: distortion-compensated CAD, inter-layer dwell-time optimisation, and substrate/clamping optimisation. AddiSim is the first Indian company building part-scale thermo-mechanical simulation IP for DED. Founded by Vaibhav Singh Nain, PhD, with 8.5 years of DED simulation experience, the startup is registered in Jind, Haryana, supporting the Atmanirbhar Bharat mandate and India's advanced manufacturing mission.
