Aerodramus Pvt. Ltd. is a technology-driven advanced manufacturing startup developing an intelligent software platform for robotic toolpath generation and process planning. Founded on 17 July 2023 by IIT Guwahati alumni and incubated at the Technology Innovation Centre (TIC), IIT Guwahati, the company focuses on translating engineering intent into reliable, production-ready robotic manufacturing outcomes. Aerodramus’ initial go-to-market application is Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM), a high-deposition-rate metal additive manufacturing process suitable for large-scale fabrication, repair, and industrial components. The platform automatically generates optimized, robot-executable toolpaths directly from CAD geometry, significantly reducing manual programming effort while improving build consistency, repeatability, and speed from design to production. At its core, the Aerodramus platform functions as a general-purpose robotic toolpath engine for advanced manufacturing. It supports key WAAM requirements such as continuous deposition strategies, controlled bead geometry, collision-aware motion planning, and parameterized, repeatable manufacturing recipes. The software incorporates proprietary IP and patented toolpath innovations, enabling high-quality paths, improved deposition efficiency, and support-free fabrication of complex geometries without additional hardware. Designed to be robot- and controller-agnostic, the platform integrates with a wide range of robotic arms, welding power sources, and CNC controllers. While WAAM is the first application, the platform is architected to scale across robotic DED, hybrid manufacturing, polishing, waterjet cutting, and other automation-intensive processes. By embedding intelligence into process planning, Aerodramus bridges the gap between digital design and physical manufacturing, accelerating industrial adoption of robotic manufacturing.
