We are agaamin.in. We are a registry service for "Smart Names". It is our mission to create an "Indian Internet"! An internet who basic infrastructure is in vernacular languages. So envisage Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil , Malayalam internets, each can be its own silo while ALSO being part of the larger internet. .....content, companies, software all operating in local languages. A chance for every major culture of our country to find expression in the digital space. Also we would like our national infrastructure to be independent of external third parties when it comes to "security certification". In our country digital revolution tends to slowly "trickle" down to Bharat from India. Among many, one of the primary issues is language barrier. While there are platforms that support local languages the larger structure of the internet is still english. Domain names, Email ids, Software interfaces are mostly english. The advent of dWeb/web3 makes this problem becomes even more urgent. Unlike the legacy web where namespace is only relevant to companies who use websites, in the dWeb "namespace" is relevant to each and every internet user. Thus It is extremely important that the namespace develops in an inclusive manner and benefits all 1.3 billion of us, especially those who use their mother tongue as their first language.
