There is a huge need to produce essential raw materials that go into production of body armor, armored vehicles and other platform armor. Today, it is 100% imported. These materials are technical textiles, and made using super strong synthetic fibers such as ultra high molecular weight polyethylene, para-aramid etc. Akiro Protech plans to produce woven fabrics, coated prepregs, and unidirectional tape fabrics using these materials.
