Albatross Finishing School Pvt. Ltd. ("AFSPL") (www.bharatmentors.com) was established with an objective of creating and delivering educational courses to bridge the gap between the qualification and employability by using innovative methodologies, at an affordable cost. A brief about the issues with our current educational system, resolution proposed by AFSPL and the proof of the concept, is as follows: The issues : It is a common knowledge that the present educational system of India per se does not support the practical aspects of various subjects and therefore is much less helpful for the students in getting the desired employment. Because of this reason, hundreds and thousands of educated youth remain unemployed or underemployed because their acquired skills do not match with the industry requirements. Because of yawning skill gap neither the employment seekers get properly employed nor do the employment providers get candidates who can be gainfully employed by them. The fact has been acknowledged by the Government of India and a lot of efforts have been made in the direction of vocationlization of the education in the past couple of decades. However, the results have not been commensurate with the efforts mainly because of the deployment of traditional methodologies which proved to be an extension of our good old education system. The other major issue is that the available skill gap training options are either very expensive or they do not understand the employer’s perspective or potential demand with a futuristic perspective. Our proposition : AFSPL has been promoted by qualified professionals and educationists who are also having vast industry experience in a variety of disciplines and thus understand the requirements of the industry (demand side) as well as the supply side in terms of qualified youth produced by the current educational system. AFSPL deploys the following methodology to achieve its objectives: AFSPL identifies the skill gaps with respect to various sectors of Indian economy through detailed analytics and inputs from sector experts. 1. Skill gaps are converted into structured courses by subject matter experts. 2. Delivery methodology is devised keeping in view the knowledge level of the audience. 3. Delivery is made interesting, convenient and cost-effective for the candidates. Proof of concept : AFSPL has already developed and commissioned courses in the BFSI sector. More than 20000 candidates have successfully undergone training on these courses. The empowerment by learning by our methodology has helped most of the candidates secure employment or save their existing jobs or advance in their carriers. The courses devised and implemented by AFSPL are completely aligned with industry requirement, aimed to impart practical training in the language of one’s own choice, made interesting by integration of gaming, stories, live examples etc. and provided online to make it cost effective, match with learning pace of individual and convenient for the student. Considering the need of the learners and potential demand AFSPL is providing affordable quality education. AFSPL is also developing courses for masses in the cooperative sector and financial literacy where e-learning is the most effective solution to up-skill the people. Conclusion : The promoter of AFSPL Swami Saran Sharma and his colleagues firmly believe that Indian youth must get educated in a practical environment to get proper jobs and thus poverty is eradicated from the country. The only way to achieve this is to make the learning process simple, interesting and delivered in the language of one’s own choice at an affordable cost.
