Introduction- A 70 bedded hospital being started in kumbla town of Kasaragod district.Primarily focusing on the mother and child departments along with general medicine. With the district being the first covid hotspot in india,there is an additional focus on the extreme shortage of quality healthcare facilities in the district.We believe this project can be a start for providing basic quality healthcare to the population in the area. Promoters- The ownership team is being led by Dr.K.P.Ali,a senior physician who has more than 35 years of experience being a busy physician and an administrator of various healthcare units in india and the Middle East. Ably supported by his children, Dr.Zahir,a healthcare entrepreneur with experience in the healthcare industry in india and the Middle East. Dr.Ayshath Shamseena,a practising specialist Radiologist with varied work experience over the last 4 years. Dr.Thansiha nargis,a practising dermatologist with special interest in cosmetology. The holding company will ALI DOCTORS HOSPITAL LLP with the 4 promoters as directors holding a 25 percent stake each. Management team The unit will be managed ably by the promoters along with Dr.Naveen Vijay,a hospital management specialist with experience from USA and in kerala being the former CEO of Kims hospital. He shall be supported by the General Manager,Mr.Midhun who has previous experience of managing a medical college in kerala. Details of the town and location of the unit Kumbla is a town placed around 12 kms from the town centre of Kasaragod.Currently there is a huge shortage of basic quality healthcare facilities around with only one cooperative hospital operational other than a few a primary care clinics along with the government facility. The location of the proposed hospital is on Badiadka main road which is easily accessible by buses and other public/private vehicles. The hospital building was leased to the district co operative hospital for the past 20 plus years till they moved out in December to their own facility.Due to this,the location is already a popular location with around 30-40 patients coming daily to this building even after the district cooperative hospital has moved out. Details of the hospital and facilities being planned Opd units 1.General medicine 2.Gynaecology 3.Paediatrics 4.Internal medicine 5.Orthopaedics 6.Radiology 7.Dermatology 8.Psychiatry 9.General Surgery -Casualty -Ultrasound scan -Digital X-ray -Automated diagnostic lab -Labour theatre -Operation theatre -ICU with external view -Pharmacy -Phototherapy -Observation units -Minor OT -Special rooms with Ac / tv -Standard rooms -General wards Business Plan & Out-reach : -The focus of the unit will be totally on providing comprehensive health care in the most cost effective manner to ensure that it is affordable for the poorest of the poor. -We shall be specially debuting customer service agents within the facility, to ensure all of the patient’s needs are fulfilled. -Specialists doctors are being appointed from Mangalore and from other towns as visiting consultants in super specialty departments. -All the local general physicians are being contacted to admit patients in our Center. -Auto drivers and bus operators are being given a few concessions to drive in the patient numbers. -Health camps will be held in surrounding schools and panchayats to give better exposure to our facility. -Special discounted health check ups will be lunched as part of our inaugural campaign. -Tie ups have been discussed and finalised with super specialty hospital based around in Mangalore to ensure continuity of care for patients who cannot be handled at our unit.
