Single-use packaging waste is generated from a number of business scenarios. Like from the sale of food & beverage products, e-commerce platforms, food delivery systems, hyper-local and quick delivery systems. The single-use packaging waste generated, not only is wasted material during production that costs the end-consumer, there are also associated carbon emissions from the production and end-of-life phase of the packaging waste. Alyra Reuse Systems Private Limited is developing scalable reuse and refill infrastructure to reduce dependence on single-use packaging across retail, FMCG, food delivery, and e-commerce sectors. The company aims to enable a transition from the traditional linear model of “use and dispose” to circular systems where packaging and containers remain in continuous circulation through reuse. Alyra is developing solutions that combine product design, dispensing systems, collection mechanisms, and operational processes to make reuse practical and convenient for businesses and consumers. The startup's focus is on creating scalable systems that can be adopted by FMCG brands, retailers, delivery platforms, and e-commerce companies to reduce packaging waste while maintaining operational efficiency and consumer convenience.
