We are in the process of creating an online marketplace for traditional art and crafts of India. Our project is to create a vibrating ecosystem for promotion of ethnic art and craft of the region. It needs commissioning of an state-of-art e-commerce marketing platform. Our initial products include Madhubani Paintings and Mithila Craft of Bihar, and Tribal Art and Dhokra Metal Craft of Jharkhand. Other art and craft forms would follow. This project would be of immense benefit for traditional artists and craftsmen, who hail mostly from rural areas and face a lot of difficulties in marketing their products, and also for the admirers and buyers of traditional Indian art and craft, who hail from almost every nuke and corner of the globe, but have little access to these, as they find it difficult to lay hands on genuine works and getting a range of choice as per their taste. Our products have a vast marketing potential. The market size is very big and the share of Indian art and craft is much below its potentially optimum levels.
