In their own words
Regenerative medicine: Our first focus will be on cell-seeded synthetic vascular grafts. Synthetic collagen was seeded with human umbilical vein endothelial cells to provide biocompatibility and mimic the mechanical characteristics of blood vessels. The use of synthetic collagen will decrease the dependence on natural collagen and help with the fine tailoring of the structure. As per the World Health Organization, in 2019, 17.9 million people worldwide died due to vascular diseases. There are already commercially available vascular grafts, which are costly and have the drawback of an untuned internal scaffold matrix. Designing an artificial graft based on synthetic collagen and human umbilical vein endothelial cells may be a better alternative. Tissue-engineered stem cell grafts can be a better alternative for already available vascular grafts; synthetic collagen enhances mechanical strength and promotes cell attachment. After completing this project gradually move towards the new therapeutic approches towards the regenrative medicine
