In their own words
The end of life scenario of plastics needs suitable redesign in order to change the 'take-make-dispose' paradigm of today. This would help to realize economic circularity for the plastics in use. Many methods to ensure plastic properties remain consistent after stipulated use cycles exist. But the degradation of these plastic properties as they complete their use cycles is well documented and known. We have formulated a method by which these plastics with degraded properties are compatibilized/ alloyed with additives and other selective plastics to provide renewed mechanical properties. These subsequent materials then provide further economic and service life in suitable applications. These plastics will eventually follow through to their end of life after which they are reclaimed and then tested to check for properties and calibrated again using our proprietary method to find enhanced utility life again. This could be in the form of resin feedstock similar to it's predecessor cycle or in the form of feedstock for civil construction applications. This way we ensure an extended circular life span of plastics at higher levels of economic activity. We at Arven Technomers have been working in the field of chemical upcycling to achieve this technically intensive objective and has succeeded with commercial and market-ready products.
