Before Start: Before getting the name Augmented Byte, the entity was called Sort Sixt1 Software Solutions OPC private limited where the solutions offered were mostly based on the website development. Soon, after 8 months of the inception, on 6th April 2018, the entity was renamed as Augmented Byte OPC private limited. The idea behind this was to experiment with new-age technologies mostly with Augmented Reality which forced us to build a brand that represents the work we do, the first word represents the tech. The second word “BYTE” comes from the computers which are made of bits and bytes and helped us to create the experiences for Augmented Reality. The ideation and roadmap were laid and on 1st September 2018, the complete operations for the entity were begun. The Journey: On September 27th, 2018, we have released our video which showcases the work we did using Augmented Reality with respect to different sectors. The video has provided us the recognition across the digital platforms. The day after our presence on digital, we have had a discussion with exhibition vendors and sensed the most accurate use case for Augmented Reality which can also be applicable to different sectors across the industry. The problem we were trying to solve was Internal Navigation. The Problem Statement: As GPS (Global Positioning System) was not available accurately inside any internal environment, the navigation across the internal environment was still an open problem to get solved. Existing Solutions: The solutions to navigate user across an internal environment, required the environment to have Bluetooth Beacons or Wi-Fi hotspots which can connect to a mobile device within the radius of at most 10 meters and 30 meters respectively. As the user moves out of the given radius a new connection will be established with the next falling beacon or hotspot radius.
