All BS VI and above vehicles and equipment using diesel must use SCR technology (Selective Catalytic reduction) and DEF (Diesel Emission Fluid) is used in combination with such systems in all new vehicles manufactured in India after the mandate.After implementation of BS6 emission norms in India, Autograde industries has sensed the huge market potential of DEF and decided to venture into manufacturing of DEF which also align with its mission.“To save lives, to protect the environment and to preserve the resources, there by adding value to the economy through customer friendly policies and quality-oriented processes.”To make high quality DEF product, Autograde industries has formed a JV with Novax of Taiwan who is licensed by VDA Germany to manufacturing of Adblue (AdBlue is a brand of VDA, Germany (Verband der Automobilindustrie) for DEF) and obtained a license to manufacture Adblue in India with this JV. This product meets ISO 22241 product certification.Several players are ventured into this market and some of them are established brands. But several small time manufacturers and sellers are also jumped into this business. Some of them are not having proper know how and by exploiting the unawareness of the drivers and fleet owners, still manage to sell spurious products. It is deeply affecting the fleet owner’s business. The continuous usage of inferior products will kill the life of the Catalytic converter & sensor systems of the vehicles and fleet owners are unable to claim warranty. At present, most of the sales of Adblue are taking place through distribution of 20 ltrs buckets.Moreover, availability is restricted to selected retail outlets and petrol stations only which make it difficult for vehicle owners to refill during long trips.Such distribution methods also allow the sale of Substandard and spurious materials in the market under different brand names of DEF resulting in spoiling the catalytic convertor which can cost 1.5-2 lakhs to repair/change.Based on the above stated analysis, Autograde has identified providing certified quality product according to ISO 22241-1 with transportation and dispensing also according to ISO 22241- 3 & 4 standards make life very easy for the user, will be the key success factory for entering the market. It is also taken as a key strategy to have regional manufacturing facilities in location where raw material availability is easy, to enable most economical transportation and quick lead time which will also be an equally important success factor. Autograde provide Dedicated filling station for Adblue which make direct filling of adblue into the vehicle and remove the problem of spoilage and pilferage by using 20 litre buckets. Such stations are provided in Franchise models for those who can attract fleet owners in location of high BS VI vehicle concentrations.
