FRP which stands for Fiber Reinforced Polymer is a composite material made by combining a polymer matrix (like epoxy, polyester, or vinyl ester) with reinforcing fibers, typically made of glass, carbon, or aramid. This combination creates a strong, lightweight, and durable material with superior mechanical properties. Power sector is a fast growing sector in India. The power grids which generate , transmit and distribute the power needs insulators for their operations. Insulators are being made by only few of the companies. One of the major constituent of these insulators is FRP epoxy rod, which is highly performance oriented. Currently, only one or two players are in the business of this FRP rod but with significant quality issues. We have developed an innovative receipe to solve the customer's problems and our solution is approved by various nationally accredited labs. This will also create oppurtunity for young engineering professionals to learn and develop new technologies. Further, the same product can also be exported to global organisations, which is in line with China+1 and help to bring in valuable foreign currency reserve. The company is going to cater to only high end performance product (specifically for usage in power grids and exports to European countries), however there are many suppliers in low end market, but only one existing supplier in high end applications. The product can be used in various sectors such as: 1. Renewable energy (battery storage systems) 2. Solar Panel and frames (lightweight and corrosion resistance) 3. EV vehicles (thereby reducing the weight of vehicle) 4. Aerospace and Defense (various applications in the sector) 5. Various other sectors.
