Bamboofied Global Industries is a sustainability enterprise dedicated to positioning bamboo as an alternative resource against all unsustainable inputs - plastics/metal/wood. Established in October 2020, the organisation is trying to build itself in two directions - first in public infrastructure; and second, in alternative home and kitchen products that replace plastic. Our flagship product range includes bamboo straws, bottles and glasses. We also make artisanal decor and patio furniture. In the public infrastructure space, we have created machinery sheds, farm homes, traffic islands and machan. Our manufacturing process is designed in a manner that 50% of our employed artists are women, who work from their homes between domestic chores and responsibilities; since getting outside their homes to access employment opportunities is a major impediment owing to socio-cultural constraints. Our USP: Our design. We have partnered with some of the top sustainability designers to ensure that our structures are sturdy, aesthetic and durable. Achievements: Bamboofied Global is currently incubated with the NSRCEL program (IIM-B). We are also pre-incubation participants with the Global Womennovator Program run by the KG Somani Group, one of India's oldest financial consulting firms.
