Barrix Agro Sciences is a R&D driven company producing innovative pheromone based integrated pest management (IPM) and Integrated plant nutritional management (IPNM) products to the farmers so that they can control agricultural pests. Innovations: Synthesised 18 new pheromones, applied 10 process patents, 2 formulations patent, 4 design patents. These innovations bring another 28 new products to the farmer so that his dependency on pesticides can be reduced drastically. Improvements: our pheromone based IPM products developed, improved and marketed for control of Agri pests like Bactrocera dorsalis, Bactrocera Cucurbitae, White fly, Aphids, Sciarides, Cabbage White Butterfly, Cucumber Beetles, Stink Bug, Leaf miners, Diamondback Moth, Jassids, onion Fly, Fungus Gnats, Frog hopper, Flea Beetles, Shore Flies, Capsids, Midges, Brown Plant Hopper, leaf Hoppers, Thrips, Leaf miners, Cabbage root fly, Barrix Housefly Trap for Housefly for which there is no pesticides. Our IPNM products are innovative and tailor made as per the soil chemistry composition and crop wise in our DSIR approved lab, so that they not only give the organic elements to the plant also improves the plant immunity, growth and yield. Scalability: since inception, at products scaled 2 to 49 products, farmer reach 2000 to 3lakhs+ farmers, 2 to 13 states, 4 to 225 District, 98 retailers to 2000+ retailers, 4 to 125 employees from Rural India. Also, we export to Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh. Still 83 crores farmers from 482 Indian districts and 191 countries are pending to scale-up.
