Management institutes try their best to transform their students with the best possible academic inputs. Though students learn theoretical knowledge in the classroom, they lack exposure to the practical business world. Also, there is a shortfall of interactions between students, experienced industry mentors, and companies. All professional courses BTech, MBBS, MCA, Hotel management have labs & workshops, except MBA, BBA, BCom, which do not have any business lab. Other than Summer Training, MBA students hardly get any exposure to the business world. Hence, fresher students joining the MBA program find difficulty in getting a good placement. This makes it essential to address this problem to enrich business education through experiential learning about the corporate world. B-School Bulls, a startup has been established with a mission to equip business, commerce, and management students to engage with the stock market so that while studying they develop a deeper understanding of the business world. For addressing the problem of lack of academia-industry connect, we have developed Venture Lab as a platform, which can be established at the premises of the institute where students can get hands-on experience of corporate working along with the curriculum. Initially, students get accustomed and trained regarding stock market operations to get practical knowledge through AI based simulators developed by BBX Infotech. Students can explore the practical working in various domains like Marketing, HR, and Finance in relation to the stock market at the institution premises without having to venture out. They can work in their free time as professionals after classroom teaching or during weekends when they don’t have exams. The environment in the lab would be highly motivating for students, which can even act as a catalyst to inspire students for starting their own start-ups. Venture Lab can also have other startups to set up their presence in the lab for the involvement of students. Venture Lab can be a valuable addition to the institute as it demonstrates an academia-industry interface. This project will be a valuable asset for the accreditation and ranking of the institute. Also, it can be an attraction for potential students to take admission to the institute as it is providing students with additional learning as well as earning while studying to finally to emerge with a competent personality while stepping into the business world.
