To achieve sustainable biomanufacturing in India, as the BioE3 policy envisions, we need bring the cost of biomanufacturing down by 10X. Biomanufacturing solves many of our problems – it makes manufacturing local, sustainable and even circular. Our start-up is innovating in precision fermentation of bio-based chemicals, the key technology in biomanufacturing, using an AI-native approach. We will build AI-driven models that will guide us to increase the productivity of fermentation processes and to scale it up to >10,000L volumes. This will help in bringing the cost of biomanufacturing down by 10X and make it a competitive alternative to current extractive or exploitative manufacturing processes used for making chemicals.
