In their own words
BioTherm Industries are into manufacturing, installation and commissioning of pellitizer and gasifiers. We are into renewable and clean energy systems. Gasification is the best source of clean energy production systems as it is the only one to be carbon negative and all others being carbon neutral. Gasification has many applications, heating, drying, power, etc. We at Startup India propose to develop a close loop cycle which can not only effective dispose stubble waste but can generate energy and can improve agriculture productivity. The uniqueness of this project is that, by use of one single technology we can address 3 major problems and challenges posted in startupindia. 1. Converting stubbles into energy; 2. Using this energy for addressing post harvest storage; 3. Improving agriculture productivity by using biochar. We look forward to work at community/village level to implement this; wherein, the stubbles are collected from the village and converted into pellets at a central collection center. This center will also host post harvest storage point where in the agriculture produce of the village can be processed. The biochar generated from the gasifiers will be converted into fertilizers and given back to the farmers to improve their soil carbon levels. Biochar is regarded as Black Gold which has proved to double agriculture yields, reduce inorganic fertilizers by 50% and reduce water usage up to 50%. This will improve soil organic matter, soil micro fauna, recover degraded soils and much more.
