The startup is focused on solving the problem of unemployment. There are over 3500 Engineering colleges in India. According to a Pre-Covid survey, done by the All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) – in 2019, engineering was the fourth most popular choice of the stream for students. There were around 38.52 lakh students who enroll for it in different institutes across the country. However, after four years of rigorous training, the employability of these graduates is very low. In a shocking survey result by an employment assessment company, Aspiring Minds, it was found that 80% of our engineers are unemployed! The rate of unemployed Students is not restricted only in Engineering but in various other vocations as well. In the beginning of 2022, Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Vice-Chairman of NITI Aayog stated that about 45% of Management and 48% of engineering students in the country are unemployed. He further emphasized on advancement in higher education. Addressing the ‘Higher Education Dialogue’, a virtual event organised by Indian School of Business (ISB), Dr Kumar expressed concern on the decreasing strength in higher education in the country. He said that higher education institutions have registered only 37 per cent strength. Dr Kumar said that higher education is stagnant in the country and consequently, institutions like ISB and IIM are also suffering from low enrolment. Stressing on the quality of education, he said that management colleges should start job-oriented courses like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Robotics etc to meet the industry needs. Emphasizing the need to understand the industry needs, Dr Kumar said that institutions should also adopt flexible courses, on the lines of US, UK, Japan and some European countries that keep upgrading themselves. He said that the Centre has introduced National Educational Policy to improve enrolments and is expecting good results from it.
