We are Borno Labs, a technology startup specializing in building natural language processing and computer vision powered products for Indic languages. Our goal is to Preserve, Promote, and Protect the rich linguistic heritage of India through digital transformation. In alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Viksit Bharat vision of an inclusive, digitally empowered, and culturally rooted India, we are building AI-first tools that enable every Indian — regardless of language or location — to participate in the digital future. Our holistic yet massively scalable AI-driven products have been adopted by different fields of work. We have developed Aakhor AI, currently used by 8,000+ customers at major news channels, institutions, police departments and government offices. This project is an important validation of the pioneering technology and its market demands. Our analytics indicate that Aakhor AI is in use at the most remote places without proper connectivity and hardware infrastructure, affirming its light-weight footprint and offline utility. Our Voice Typing facility in native language is proving to be a gamechanger in smooth and fast content generation. The socio- economic benefits of this ongoing project are substantial, breaking barriers in local language communication and creative expression.
