The BRC STAR Self Volt Electric Vehicle introduces a transformative approach to electric mobility by integrating a dual battery pack architecture with an innovative automatic charging mechanism. This invention is designed for both passenger and commercial electric vehicles, including four-wheeler passenger EVs, six-wheeler commercial buses, and light commercial goods vehicles. The system eliminates traditional downtime associated with external battery charging, enhancing operational efficiency, extending vehicle uptime, and improving the scalability of electric mobility solutions in urban and rural contexts. At the core of this invention lies a dual battery configuration, enabling one battery to power the vehicle while the other is being charged. This is further augmented by a self-sustaining automatic charging system, which utilizes three specially engineered alternators—a belt-driven alternator, an iron wheel-based alternator, and a structurally mounted alternator—that collectively harvest mechanical energy from the motion of the vehicle and convert it into electrical energy. These alternators operate using a reverse-rotation mechanism, allowing energy recovery from auxiliary rotational systems, thereby continuously charging the idle battery without external intervention. The EV platform is built with a high-efficiency powertrain that includes lithium-ion battery packs (LFP or NMC chemistry), a robust battery management system (BMS), thermal regulation through liquid cooling, and a traction motor powered via a smart inverter and DC-DC converters. The vehicle chassis is supported by advanced suspension and braking systems, while the interior and exterior are equipped with ergonomic and safety-enhanced features.
