Bright Orange is founded to help women micro-entrepreneur in the informal sector. Women in lower-income households in the informal sector constitute almost 50% of total informal sector employment but they are never able to fulfill their aspirations for a decent living because of the socially determined roles that they have to play. Women are at the lowest rung whether in terms of investment for their enterprises, or opportunities, or household support to run their enterprises. Bright Orange wants to provide them end to end support- from the acquisition of professional skills to providing them access to opportunities. Bright Orange aims to provide the professional skills, help them stitch good quality dresses, and sell these dresses online. Thus we aim to address both supply-side and demand-side of entrepreneurship for women in the informal sector.
