BRILLE ENTERPRISES LIMITED LIABILITY PARTNERSHIP
Kozhikode, Kerala
In their own words
Conventionally, drilling for cabling underground is done by HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) or DTH (Direct To Hole Drilling). Both required heavy and costly rigs and the tread of drill bit at a stretch is limited by the length of drilling string, normally pipe. With our invention, drilling machine is being made simple and the length of hole that can be drilled horizontally or vertically can be made unlimited, as the entire machine will go inside the hole and drills directly. It is high speed hammer drilling in contrary to squeeze/impact drilling in HDD or DTH. The drill rod is short. The machine pulls the duct pipe also along with it, doing the entire job in a single step. Cost-wise, if the rigs cost in millions, this machine (that invented) costs less than a million. The motor and drill head moves alternatively by holding inside the hole alternatively, automatically. Most of the operations are done by mechanical means without any automation gadgets, hence rugged. Our ultimate aim is to acquire sophistication for deep mining solutions.
