We are starting an electric scooter (EV) rental business with an initial focus on Jaipur to directly address the environmental, economic, and urban mobility challenges created by the widespread use of petrol-powered (ICE) two-wheelers. India has one of the largest two-wheeler populations in the world, and these vehicles are major contributors to urban air pollution because they continuously emit carbon dioxide (CO₂), nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, and fine particulate matter. The impact is even higher in the gig-delivery ecosystem, where riders travel long distances daily, leading to high fuel consumption, rising operating costs, and significant cumulative emissions. Replacing ICE scooters with EV scooters eliminates tailpipe emissions and substantially reduces overall lifecycle carbon output, resulting in cleaner air, lower noise pollution, and reduced dependence on fossil fuels. Launching this model in Jaipur enables the development of a controlled, scalable, and financially sustainable mobility solution that provides affordable zero-emission transportation to students, professionals, tourists, and delivery partners without requiring vehicle ownership. Lower running and maintenance costs will improve gig-worker income while simultaneously reducing the city’s pollution burden. Gradual expansion across India will multiply these environmental and economic benefits, contributing to measurable CO₂ reduction, improved public health, and more efficient urban transport systems. This venture aligns strongly with Government of India initiatives such as the FAME (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles) scheme and various state EV policies that promote electric mobility through incentives, infrastructure support, and ecosystem development.
