In their own words

CARDIS (Center for Active Research Diagnostics and Infection Surveillance) is a research based organization which is dedicated to fight human pathogenic infections. CARDIS Labs is the ultimate authority in clinical microbiology. We have dedicated our lives in pursuit of championing the art of pathogenic detection. Our labs process bacterial, fungal and mycobacterial cultures. Microbial culture is the only clinical test we do, and we are just great at it. We derive our inspiration from groundbreaking research done by Koichi Tanaka – a Japanese engineer who shared the Nobel Prize Chemistry in 2002 for developing a novel method for mass spectrometric analyses of biological macromolecules. At CARDIS Labs, state of the art technology identifies pathogens in the shortest time frame by international industry standards, enabling clinicians to take judgment calls when it maters the most. Mass spectrometry based CARDIS MICROSPY has nano-scale precision measurement capabilities. Moto: Traversing Frontiers Idea of CARDIS was conceived after acknowledging the extent of challenge that diagnosis of infection and specifically septicemia poses to physicians worldwide. The company is determined to bring about antibiotic stewardship and community specific clinically relevant information to the healthcare providers. Goal: We aim to reduce the hospital infection incidents, irrational use of antibiotics and empower medical community with clinically relevant actionable intelligence. Objective: 1. Promote antibiotic stewardship 2. Track antibiotic management patterns and practices in the community 3. Promote and work in areas to reduce hospital acquired infection Business Philosophy: The state of the art technology should be made available for the benefit of masses and should provide direct benefit to both patients as well as customers. Conceptualization of CARDIS – Clinical Wing Need: With the available culture growth detection systems in the community, it takes seventy two to ninety six hours to pin down the organism. Further twenty four hours to forty eight hours have to be spent to find out antibiotic sensitivity of that organism. With unsatisfactory sensitivity, high costs and humungous time to report clinically relevant information – current culture mechanisms are by and large used for mere documentation. The challenge is complicated by limited ability of current management strategies to effectively treat sepsis. Since, clinicians anticipate highly resistant bugs, they empirically adopt second line – third line antibiotics more and more in turn contributing to more resistance among microbes.

What we do not know

We have no liveness signal for any company on this site: no filings feed, no revenue, no check that the website still resolves. A record existing here means a record exists, not that a business is trading.
