Ceangal Speciality Ingredients LLP was registered in August 2023 with the aspiration of specialising in seaweed hydrocolloid applications like edible/biodegradable packaging , taste and texture ingredients. The founder ( Arun George James) was inspired by his mother, Dr Thresiamma who has a PhD in Microalgae from BHU and worked with seaweeds for more than thirty years. The initial operations focussed on establishing customer network and raw material supply chain before starting the manufacturing activity. The market potential for plastic free food packaging was clearly understood. Even though food industry is following a wait and watch policy the consumers especially mothers, really feel the need for a plastic free option for food packaging. With the rise of food delivery apps , mothers are quietly worried about the impact of plastic containers carrying hot food on health. Ceangal is committed to address this concern by developing Bio Plastics with seaweed hydrocolloids which can be used by the existing package manufacturers. Ceangal is growing at CAGR of 57.5% since 2023. Expected sales closing for 2025-26: INR 14 Lakhs
