India has over 63 million active SMBs and 65,000+ registered healthcare facilities, yet more than 40% of inbound business and patient calls go unattended during peak hours, after-hours, and public holidays — directly causing missed revenue, lost appointments, and poor patient outcomes. Existing solutions are either expensive human call centres or generic IVR systems that cannot understand India's linguistic diversity: 22 official languages, 780+ dialects, and the code-switching behaviour — Hindi-English mixing, or "Hinglish" — that characterises how 600 million urban Indians actually communicate. No production-grade AI system today handles this combinatorial complexity at scale. Companion Labs Private Limited is building a multilingual voice intelligence platform enabling businesses and healthcare providers across India to deploy fully autonomous AI agents — capable of handling inbound calls, understanding caller intent, and completing multi-turn conversational workflows (appointment booking, lead qualification, emotional support) in 22 Indian languages, with zero human intervention. Our products Voxerra (AI voice receptionist for healthcare) and Ping (AI companion for consumers) are powered by this shared voice AI infrastructure. Our innovation is threefold: (1) A multilingual ASR engine trained on Indian accent patterns, regional phonemes, and code-switching behaviour — outperforming generic global models on real Indian voice data. (2) A dialogue management system using LLM orchestration that understands caller intent beyond keyword matching, enabling navigation of complex multi-turn conversations such as patient triage and appointment rescheduling in real time. (3) A cross-session memory architecture that retains caller context across interactions — a capability no IVR or chatbot platform in India currently offers. Both products are in internal beta testing, built with DPDP Act 2023 readiness in mind and designed for India's BHASHINI language infrastructure.
