50 Lac transactions (change of hands) of used cars happen annually Pan-India where individual people are the sellers or buyers. Hardly 20% of this routes through ‘organised’ set-up (Source IBB report. 2019) Most of the incumbent approaches of classifieds/ e-commerce / Inventory based players/ aggregators are focussed on acting as gate keepers thereby adding another layer of intermediaries between these individual buyers & sellers. This approach tries to turn it into a secondary or tertiary market where both buyers and sellers lose money to these intermediaries if they try to transact through these platforms (i.e so called Organised Sector- 20%) OR they are left on their own to find/ vet/ transact the whole deal journey where they face a hard time finding each other and vetting / transacting the deals safely. (Peer to peer fashion -80%) P2PCarz®, has essentially evolved into a mobile first 2 sided E-Marketplace which is democratising the highly fragmented Used Car market niche by helping these individual used car sellers and buyers to find each other, connect with each other without gatekeepers and conclude the transaction in a safe and hassle free manner with our concierge support. This is exactly what our product also seeks to do. After having validated the proof of concept through multiple Clicks to Bricks approaches in a span of 5Years, we are super happy to have been able to launch on Android this March 2022 and are iterating fast towards PMF. Exciting times ahead!!
