In their own words
Dash is a food delivery cum pick up and drop service operating in Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. Co-founded by 4 entrepreneurs coming from their respective backgrounds of marketing and restaurant business. It was founded in the September of 2020, during the lockdown period when restaurants and other businesses were suffering. The initial idea behind starting the venture was to help the ailing businesses by bringing them more customers, but now we are learning that much more problems can be solved with our platform. For example, we launched the "Pick & Drop" service, where one can ask for something to be picked up at a certain location and dropped at another. This has been gaining traction steadily and we see a major problem of traffic during rush hours can be totally avoided by using this service. There are several other problems that we have identified and want to start working on adding them as part of our services as we grow. We have in these past few months been able to generate 100% local employment for about 10-12 people in a short span of time. We are nearing our break-even and have seen an exponential growth trajectory every consecutive month.
