OilOnWheelz, a brand developed by DCQ Logistics Pvt. Ltd., is a tech-enabled reverse logistics platform focused on the verified collection and traceable reintegration of used lubricating oil, with the ability to extend to other liquid waste streams such as used cooking oil. Our goal is to organize and digitize a largely unregulated sector that causes serious environmental and public health harm. The Problem – India generates over 1.4 million metric tons of used lubricating oil annually, yet less than 15% is re-refined due to fragmented collection systems, informal cash-based transactions, and lack of transparency. This results in dumping, illegal burning, and high soil, water, air pollution, along with avoidable carbon emissions. Our Solution – OilOnWheelz offers an integrated digital and hardware solution connecting oil generators (garages, fleets, industries) to verified collectors and certified recyclers. Key features include an app-based platform with geo-tagging and tracking, verification tools for quantity and quality, simplified payouts and EPR documentation, formalisation of informal collectors with PF/ESI benefits, and compliance dashboards for auditability. The same system is designed to scale to additional liquid waste streams. Environmental Impact – The model reduces carbon footprint through optimised logistics, EV-based fleets, and increased re-refining over disposal, while enabling future emissions tracking and carbon credit potential. We plan to pilot in Delhi-NCR and scale pan-India across industrial regions and regulated liquid waste categories.
