Security assurance for next generation technology products, such as Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Computing and Mobile Solutions requires innovative approaches and new methods. The traditional Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) practices to build secure products and hunt for security vulnerabilities no longer work for these platforms because of rapid time-to-market, new technological standards and lack of security research. Deep Armor brings in innovative methodologies for the overall security assurance for IoT, Mobile and Cloud Computing Solutions. Our processes accommodate Agile models of development and integrate into Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery software deployment models. Deep Armor’s SDL workflow has a five-step process that accommodates security architecture reviews, threat modeling, focused security code reviews, vulnerability assessment and incident response, as well as privacy related activities at each stage of the product lifecycle. Our researchers have worked actively on industry products in the wearables, IoT, mobile and cloud-hosted web applications. Through our methods and tools, we have discovered and reported hundreds of vulnerabilities in our previous roles for large corporations, saving millions of dollars in vulnerability response costs. Our research on Zigbee/IEEE-802.15.4 network attacks and hands-on penetration testing has been very well received globally in security conferences and workshops. Deep Armor, as of a global workgroup, is working collaborating with the CVSS Special Interest Group for establishing a new scoring framework for privacy vulnerabilities. Deep Armor’s security analysts regularly conduct trainings and speak at global security conferences, including Black Hat, Troopers, FIRST, AppSec, PacSec, Nuit du Hack, NASSCOM and Shakacon.
