Dentinvent Private Limited is an emerging medical device innovation company focused on developing advanced solutions for dentistry and oral & maxillofacial surgery. Founded by Dr. Gunjan Srivastava and Dr. Subrat Kumar Padhiary, the startup aims to address unmet clinical needs by creating indigenous, user-centric, and patent-driven surgical instruments and devices. Dentinvent’s first major innovation is a patented self-irrigation and suction device designed to improve the efficiency, safety, and ergonomics of root canal treatment. The company is currently refining its prototype and validating its performance through laboratory testing. Expanding its innovation pipeline, Dentinvent has now developed the Lingula Hook Retractor, a specialized surgical instrument intended for use during Bilateral Sagittal Split Osteotomy (BSSO). Designed to help surgeons accurately identify the mandibular foramen and safely retract the inferior alveolar neurovascular bundle, this instrument aims to reduce surgical complications and enhance procedural precision. The retractor comes as a mirrored pair to support bilateral access during mandibular surgeries. Laboratory assessment and performance evaluation will precede its clinical use in human subjects.
