Data is the new oil. Almost everything is heading towards technology and with latest technology comes new risks. Threat actors are becoming active day by day. Cyber attacks are increasing with each passing day. What they want? The answer is simple, "Our Data". However, the ability to monitor these threats is limited. Digilytical Infosec developed their own Security Incident and Event Management tool (SIEM), which collect the logs of the user and runs an analysis on them. After filtering them out, it represents the data in the form of a dashboard to the administrator. This helps the defense team to take quick actions based on any abnormality in the data represented. The possibilities of this technology's expansion are so many. In future we are planning to integrate SIEM tool with Security Orchestration and Automation Response (SOAR), which will take it to the next level and will be able to mitigate know or low level threats. There are very few companies which provide SIEM solution, however, all of them are outside India. Therefore, to rely on an international tool can risk exposure of sensitive data. That is why, Digilytical Infosec wants to create a fully functional Indian SIEM tool which can be used by authorities and private sector both to monitor their endpoints. A bit more on SIEM tool: Audit logging and review is a crucial component of an effective strategy to operate and secure vital IT assets and data. Many organizations generate audit log data but fail to effectively extract relevant information due to the volume and complexity of the data collected. The proper use of log data supports multiple security purposes, including: -> Detecting known and emerging threats, -> Identifying vulnerabilities, -> Accelerating incident response, -> Identifying policy violations and -> Providing system troubleshooting or forensic evidence in the event of a security breach occurs. It can help the organization take informed decisions which can protect the company from potential risk of sensitive data exposure by an action of a threat actor. This could lead to potential save of millions of rupees, in penalties or fines, in business loss or by any other problematic situation which could be created by cyber security breach. Digilytical Infosec thrive to improve and expand, so that it can provide the best services to the potential clients, because client satisfaction matters above all else for the company to expand, grow, and evolve into something which we all are proud of.
