Divyaram Medical and Research Institute(DMRI) commenced operations on September 2nd 202. The hospital goes by the name Atreya Hospital(A unit of DMRI). The Hospital is located at Thrissur central Kerala. Atreya Hospital is a 75 bedded tertiary health care provider with focus in neuro sciences. The hospital building is compliant to the IGBC( Indian Green Building Council) norms. The aim is only, not to provide tertiary healthcare alone but also provide community services especially in the field of Neuro Rehabilitation. Research in the field of Spine Biomechanics which is relatively in a nascent stage in India is one of the research areas the team is focussing on. This will have impact in the evolution of new spinal implants which will be cost effective. The centre will serve as a clinical trial base for this. This will provide more oportunities to the Indian companies to clinicaly trial their implants. In addition to neurosciences, the hospital provides services in twenty other specialities. The hospital is currently staffed with over 50 doctors in different specialities. We recieved NABH preaccreditation with in the first seven months of service inception.
