The existing conventional system of extraction of Heavy Mineral Concentrate [HMC], is uneconomical in terms of operations and compliance of environmental laws and results in lesser extraction of HMC which makes the mining process unviable and ultimately resulting in higher cost of minerals. To overcome the same, the company had innovated a process, wherein the retrieval and extraction of HMC through off-shore mining system by usage of a dredge and barge vessel. The system allows to extract only the HMC and discharge the remaining back to the place of excavation. Thus, the mining of minerals will be cost-efficient, environmental friendly and will not ruin the other natural resources. The shift from conventional system of man-power driven to innovative system of machine driven will reduce the excavation and extraction time of HMC and thereby increase the turnaround time of production and sale. Since the innovative process is machine driven and availability of dredgers and barges in India, it is easier to scale to desired level to meet the operational requirement.
