To carry on the business of tea gardens, coffee plantations, seeds, fruits and vegetables, produce, prepare, manufacture and render marketable products, and to buy, sell, dispose of, export, either in its prepared, manufactured or raw state and either by wholesale or retail. To procure and develop lands and converting them into tea gardens, coffee plantations and establishing new tea gardens or acquiring existing tea gardens on lease and function them in a systematic way. 2. To promote Cinchona plantations, Medicinal Plants and Herbs, and develop and promote other medicinal plants found in the region. To create tissue culture and other research facilities. To establish Demonstration and Training Farms. 3. Promotion of Organic Farming practices, Animal Husbandry Fruit and Vegetable Processing, Packaging and Marketing Units and Cold Storage Units. 4. To develop Industrial Bamboo Production such as Crushed Bamboo Boards, Edged Glued Boards and Bamboo Ply Boards and other Non Timber Forest Products. To promote local Bamboo arts and handicrafts. 5. To create livelihood opportunities for the economic growth of the region by executing any type of activities in collaboration with the related Central and State Government bodies, Local Administration, Councils, Municipalities etc. 6. Promotion of Tea, Village and Eco Tourisms.
