We are an early stage Electric Vehicle startup with unparalleled economics and practicality.Background:Commercial vehicles such as Trucks, Buses and Taxis cause the highest pollution & greenhouse gas emissions, yet EVs are not available for these segments due to short battery life and very long charging time. We use ultra-long-life batteries to make EVs highly economical and use flash-fast charging to remove range anxiety.Problems addressed:1. Slow Charging: EVs typically require 2 to 10 hours of charging time. This leads to larger batteries, still causes range anxiety, and reduces EV adaption.2. Short Life: Common batteries have about 2000 slow charging lifecycles (about 500 fast charging). This makes EVs expensive as the battery requires replacement every few years.Practical Examples of shortcomings: 1. Long-haul Trucks: Companies cannot move their inter-city / highway logistics to EVs to achieve their green goals, because range required is too high, and battery degrades quickly.2. Highway Buses: These buses travel 500 to 1,000 KMs daily. Using a battery to cover daily range is cost prohibitive, and with 8-12 hours charging is usage reduction.3. City Buses: While city buses have found adaption amongst governments and local council bodies, they require battery replacement every few years, and require large battery due to 300 to 400Km range.4. Taxis: An EV taxi company/aggregator has to keep about 3 EVs (Tata Tigor EV in India) per driver, as the practical range is barely 100KM, taxi runs for about 250 to 350 km / day, with a charging time of over 8 hours.5. LCVs: These LCVs are made with a real range of 80 - 90KMs, and require over night charging. So, productivity and usage is rather limited. Our commercial-purpose EVs are much more practical and economical than any solution presently out there.In some cases (highway trucks & buses), a practical EV does not even exist.Solution & Differentiation:We utilize commercial-viable & technically-proven battery chemistry that allows ultra-fast charging yet has a super long life.1. Flash-fast charging: 80% in 6 mins (now take EVs on highways too)2. Super Long life: 20,000+ lifecycles (10 times other EVs)3. Products - Highway & City EVs: Taxis, Buses, city and long-haul trucks (LCVs, MCVs and HCVs) Products:We will build various commercial-purpose EVs (Trucks, Taxis, Buses) with 20+ years life. The offering is ideal for all use-cases having average daily drive of at least 100km (city or highway).Pilot:We plan to pilot by building one retrofitted E-Truck and operating it on Mumbai-Pune highway using existing charging infrastructure.Benefits:1. Better Economics: Total ownership cost is similar to ICE vehicles & other EVs in the first few years while capital cost (EMI) is being incurred. After that, it's massive savings for next 10-15 years.2. Better Practicality: With flash-charging, there is no range anxiety.Better economics and practicality will skyrocket the EV adaption, and reduce pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.About me:Combining my passion for the environment & for transportation, I decided to use technology to save Earth from the climate changing emissions of present day transportation. I had some first had experience of the problems that EVs face, especially in India, so that was a good starting point.I conducted a detailed technical, market & supply chain research (primary & secondary), to understand the pain points in EV adaption. I used first-principles to solve problems, make decisions, & identify opportunities.Prior to Entrepreneurship, I have worked for 12 years as a Patent Analyst, a Data Scientist, and a Product Leader.
