About the Startup EcogenX Innovations is a technology-driven waste management startup based in Greater Hyderabad, Telangana, focused on transforming how India handles plastic waste through community engagement, smart infrastructure, and strategic industry partnerships. Our mission is to build a circular economy by making recycling simple, traceable, and rewarding. We deploy a comprehensive system that includes biodegradable bag-based doorstep pickups, app-based scheduling, tamper-proof bins for e-waste and cigarette butts, transparent plastic shredders, and smart reverse vending machines (RVMs) that incentivize user participation. What sets EcogenX apart is its AI-optimized logistics, real-time tracking, and reward-driven user model that makes recycling accessible and engaging. By forming strategic partnerships with companies specializing in waste-to-energy conversion, we ensure that even non-recyclable plastics are diverted from landfills and processed responsibly. Our pilot in Hyderabad is already underway, with plans to expand to metro cities across India. We aim to generate measurable environmental and social impact while supporting employment opportunities—especially for women engaged in collection programs—and helping urban India meet its sustainability targets.
