Ecosphere Biolabs is a sustainable biotechnology startup transforming agricultural and industrial waste into biodegradable, high-performance materials using mycelium technology. Through a low-energy, water-efficient fermentation process with in-house–developed fungal strains, we produce clean-label (chemical-free) bio-leather and bio-composites that are decomposable, aesthetically natural, and cost-effective. Designed to replace animal leather, MDF, and plastic-based composites, our materials have wide-ranging applications across multiple industries. By reducing environmental impact while creating scalable alternatives, Ecosphere Biolabs contributes directly to multiple UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and is redefining the future of materials — growing them from waste, not from fossil fuels.
